Towbes Capital Partners, LLC [TCP] is the real estate investment
division of the Towbes Group, Inc., a diversified commercial real estate and
investment firm based in Santa Barbara. TCP expands the Towbes Group’s real
estate portfolio by combining the capital of its principals and third-party
investors to realize mutually beneficial financial rewards.
TCP is an active manager with discretionary private equity capital to invest
in stabilized single-tenant assets strategically located in primary and
secondary U. markets, preferably in close proximity to a major college or
university.
With the ability to close with speed and certainty of execution, TCP has a
particular focus on purchasing small-to-medium-sized corporate offices between
$8 million and $60 million. Since launching its first discretionary real estate
investment fund in 2001, TCP has acquired commercial properties totaling nearly
a million square feet, with an aggregate value of $140 million.

- Throughout his career, Dr. Edward Birch has held senior positions at
distinguished colleges and universities and has served as chairman and/or
director of a number of public company, charity, civic, and cultural boards.
- Dr. Robert Emmons is Managing Partner of Emmons Capital, an
investment partnership, and serves on the boards of Bourgeon Capital Management
and Hunter Marine. Previously, Dr. Emmons was Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Smart & Final Inc., a New York Stock Exchange company, and has
held President and Chief Executive Officer positions for various major
corporations.
- Phillip R. Nicholson is a founding partner of the law firm of Cox,
Castle & Nicholson LLP. Cox, Castle & Nicholson has offices in Los
Angeles, Irvine and San Francisco and is nationally recognized for its work in
complex real estate transactions.
